Introductory Training

If you have never ridden a motorcycle or it has been a while then why not book an introductory lesson prior to your CBT. Carried out off road in a controlled environment this will give you a chance to get used to the machine controls, along with an introduction to some of the exercises you will be required to complete during your CBT. (Please note this is not part of a CBT course)

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

Most learner motorcycle and moped riders must complete a CBT course before being able to ride on the road, there are a few exceptions. For more information on these please click here

There are five elements in the CBT syllabus and each must be completed satisfactorily prior to progressing on to the next one.

  • A Introduction
  • B Practical on site training
  • C Practical on site riding
  • D Practical on road training
  • E Practical on road riding There is no pass or fail with a CBT course, everyone learns at different rates and if additional time is required to complete any of the elements then this can easily be arranged.

Direct Access Scheme (DAS)

Direct access courses are run every week and are available for anyone whether you have completed a CBT before or not. All we ask is that you have a valid Theory Test pass certificate.
